2023: Fire at the Institute

On July 6, 2023, a fire occurred at the Ural Institute of Cardiology in Yekaterinburg. Patients and staff are still on the lawns and on benches near the cardiocenter.

On an area of ​ ​ 20 square meters. m in the building of the medical institution there was a fire in the basement. 285 people were independently evacuated, of which 165 patients. There was no information about the victims, - said in the message of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations in Telegram.

Open burning was localized, no one was injured. The cause of the incident is not called, 42 people and 13 pieces of equipment participated in extinguishing the fire, the area of ​ ​ which was 20 square meters.

The Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region, for the period of eliminating the consequences of smoke, organized the redistribution of patients to other medical institutions in Yekaterinburg, there were no victims. Ambulance teams from Yekaterinburg and the territorial center for disaster medicine worked on the spot, the department added to the Telegram channel.

During a fire in a cardiocenter in Yekaterinburg, the head physician of the institution, Jan Gabinsky, was not at the workplace, writes the newspaper "New Day." Moreover, employees of the Ural Institute of Cardiology have not seen him for some time.

The source of the publication in the hospital suggests that the chief physician may be on vacation, the cardiologist often spends it in the United States - Gabinsky's brother lives there.
