2024: Network Launch 5.5G
On September 17, 2024, operator Uztelecom announced the launch of a cellular network of the 5.5G standard in Uzbekistan. The strategic partner in this project is the Chinese manufacturer of telecommunications equipment Huawei.
The launch of the 5.5G was announced by the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov. The new service provides data transfer rates up to 4942.24 Mbps. It is argued that the 5.5G standard, which is considered as a harbinger of 6G, opens up the widest possibilities - from ultra-fast Internet access, which allows you to deploy virtual reality platforms, to the development of smart cities and innovative industries.
The launch of 5.5G technology in Uzbekistan is a step into the future. The data transfer rate, exceeding all the standards available today, will allow you to freely use services that require high bandwidth, the message says. |
It is noted that as of 2024, ordinary users have quite enough 5G capabilities, but the technological business does not always have enough capacity for such networks. At the same time, 5.5G makes it possible to implement qualitatively new projects in the field of the Internet of Things, smart cities, intellectual infrastructures, etc. The implementation of 5.5G allows you to take the capabilities of mobile data transmission to the next level. In addition, delays are reduced, which is important when it comes to, for example, autopilot systems.
We would like to thank Huawei for their cooperation in this project. Our strong cooperation was a key factor in the successful launch of 5.5 G. We are confident that this achievement will be a powerful incentive for the further development of technologies, "said Temur Mansurov, Deputy Director for Technical Affairs of the UzMobile branch of AK Uzbectelecom[1] |
