Volgograd plant of the boring equipment

The Volgograd plant of the boring equipment (now VZBT LLC) counts the history since January 6, 1981 when the minister of defense industry of the Soviet Union issued order No. 22 according to which due to selection from structure of software of Barricade of branch No. 1 in Dzerzhinsky district of the city of Volgograd, OKB-3 and workshops of metalwork was formed the independent enterprise — the Volgograd plant of the boring equipment.

Field of activity of the enterprise — design, development and production of drilling, blowout and other oil and gas equipment, first of all — drilling rigs. VZBT LLC — the member of Association of Oil and Gas Equipment Producers. Large engineering enterprise VZBT LLC has high design, technology and potential production for production of drilling rigs now.

The staff of the plant overcame difficult years of an economic crisis, did not lose the powerful potential, saved the organizational unity and unity, dynamically develops, increasing capacities and production volumes.

The total area of the plant is 44 hectares. From them 126 thousand square meters are occupied with production areas on which over one and a half thousand units of technology equipment are placed. There is own design department and the proving ground of drilling rigs. Good logistic opportunities of the plant are provided with convenient highway and railway access roads.

The main products which are turned out by the plant:

• Drilling rigs (including mobile), equipment and tool;
• Blowout prevention equipment;
• Boring rotors and rotors for repair of oil and gas wells;
• Boring pumps;
• Equipment for hoisting transactions and swivels;
• Blocks are tackle, crown blocks, hooks and hook-blocks.
