2024: Completion of the clinic for ₽170,4 million, which was supposed to be commissioned 2 years ago

In Voronezh, the construction of a new polyclinic on the 20th anniversary of the October Revolution was completed, the cost of which amounted to ₽170,4 million. This became known in early October 2024. The facility, which was supposed to be commissioned two years ago, is in the final stages of preparation for the opening.

By the beginning of October 2024, work is underway at the facility to configure the digital services necessary for the full functioning of the medical institution. Minister of Health of the Voronezh Region Igor Banin said that the contractor was given two weeks to complete these works.

The Minister noted that the offices have already been prepared and the equipment has been installed, but without the full operation of the information system, medical personnel will not be able to begin their duties. Currently, the installation of switches and the commissioning of digital services are underway, which will provide access to electronic medical records of patients.

Initially, the commissioning of the facility was planned for November 2022, but the contractor Voronezhevrostroy could not meet the deadlines. The company was fined for schedule violations. In March 2024, the amount of the fine exceeded ₽20 million.

The Minister of Health of the region expressed his readiness for the phased commissioning of the clinic, stressing the importance of an early start of patient care in the new institution. He also added that the management is ready for the gradual opening of the clinic, starting from individual floors, provided that access to information systems is provided.

The construction of a new polyclinic is part of a program to modernize the health care system of the Voronezh region. It is expected that the commissioning of the new medical facility will significantly improve the quality and availability of medical care for residents of the central part of the city.[1][2]
