2020: Intention of Hitachi Vantara to purchase Waterline Data

On January 30, 2020 TAdviser knew that the Hitachi Vantara company, affiliated enterprise Hitachi, Ltd., announced intention to purchase Waterline Data, Inc.

Hitachi Vantara offers customers the digital architectural components, the strategy of DataOps and industry solutions necessary for conversion of the organizations on the basis of information taken from data. Waterline Data technologies will add expert experience of Hitachi Vantara in the field of implementation of DataOps and will become a key product as a part of the Lumada Data Services complex, providing high transparency, strict quality control, more exact compliance to normative legal requirements and more effective management of data for customers, speaks Brad Surak, the president of the direction of the digital solutions Hitachi Vantara

Waterline Data developed technology of cataloguing on a basis machine learning which allows to automate process of detection of metadata at the solution of analytical tasks and data management in different information environments. This technology is widely used in the field of financial services, health care and pharmaceutical the industry. The technology can be applied to large volumes of data in environments based on Hadoop SQL, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, having placed the relevant decisions in the territory of the organization or century cloud.

The patented technology allowing to remove obstacles for successful work of the lake of data is the cornerstone of the solutions Waterline Data. For example, that correctly identify in the lake given by the size in several petabyte, to the solution Waterline Data only one field is enough to identify numbers of insurance claims as number of the requirement.
