History

2024: Plan to receive $450,000 investment from Iskra Ventures

AI-first startup WeGoTrip will raise up to $450,000 from Iskra Ventures, which was announced by the latter on November 1, 2024.

Founded in 2019, WeGoTrip has set a course for the development of the AI direction, using advances in generative language models to produce customized audio tours. All components of the product - route, narrative, voice acting and visual materials - are created using AI.

The service team is developing an algorithm that will generate content that meets the 100 + criteria of the WeGoTrip quality standard and will not require human moderation. In other words, ahead is the packaging of a technological solution for creating audio tours that are generated in real time - in any language, anywhere, for any custom request of the traveler.

The fund's investments will go to support the team that will develop the first iteration of such a solution, to grow and develop the product and launch marketing activities. The target markets for the WeGoTrip solution are Latin America, Asia and MENA countries, which are characterized by high demand and low irrelevant supply. To scale the product, the WeGoTrip team plans to attract additional investments.

The content and entertainment market is growing, the travel segment has a clear request for a solution that will increase the quality and adaptability of tours, increase their availability. The experienced WeGoTrip team groped for new growth methods and actually fogged the product with current technology,
said Ivan Seasone, a partner at the Iskra Ventures Foundation.

Communication with the fund was simple and comfortable, colleagues together with us were looking for the point where the desires of our project and the interests of the fund perfectly intersected. I am glad that we found this point. The openness of the fund, the speed of communication and interest in us, in our product - everything influenced the fact that the deal happened,
noted Alexander Golovaty, co-founder of WeGoTrip.

For this, of course, we will attract investments. We also plan to launch other products within the service, for example, we are now testing multi-day audio tours, "he said.

Previously, WeGoTrip received a small investment of $15,000 from Bank of Georgia as part of the 500 startups accelerator.

WeGoTrip noted that the main segment of the service audience before the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic was American travelers in European cities. The startup survived the pandemic, thanks to the turn to the Russian market, the company emphasized.[1]
