In the summer of 2018 the Veon group (its Russian "subsidiary" VimpelCom works under a brand Beeline) agreed with the Hong Kong CK Hutchison Holdings about sale of a share in joint Italian mobile operator Wind Tre by it. As stated in the message of Veon, transaction amount will be 2.45 billion euros or $2.87 billion[1].
In 2011 Wind Telecomunicazioni became a part of JSC VimpelCom.
The company is created in 1997 as a joint company asset of France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom.
