Yamal Region

The district State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company "Yamal Region" founded based on district radio and in the nineties last century received the status of television, passed a prompt way of development: from small, almost amateur television station with half-hour air to the first Arctic TV channel of Russia and the biggest media holding of the region.

GU OGTRK "Yamal Region" has own programming, and broadcasts 24 hours a day both on a body and on a radio channel. "Yamal Region" the only broadcasting company in the Russian Federation which broadcasts in six languages: Russian, Tatar and also in languages of indigenous ethnic groups of the North – the Khanty, Nenets, the Komi and Selkup.
