2024: TMK sold the plant

On June 7, 2024, the Pipe Metallurgical Company announced the sale of the Yartsevsky Metzavod (TMK-YAMZ LLC), a large manufacturer of construction fittings located in the city of Yartsevo, Smolensk Region. The buyer was a "third-party investor," the name of which, as of the specified date, was not officially disclosed.

It is noted that the sale of the enterprise will allow TMK to focus on areas specialized for the company. Among them are the development and delivery of advanced pipe solutions, service services and comprehensive engineering projects. At the same time, the new owner of TMK-YAMZ plans to continue strengthening the production potential of the enterprise, develop sales thanks to access to its own sales network and ensure a high level of social security for employees.

According to Interfax, since June 7, 2024, 100% of the TMK-YAMZ plant has been owned by Frunze LLC, while the metal trader Metalservice has become the ultimate beneficiary of the asset. The company works with more than 50 metproduct manufacturers and has its own production capacity of more than 800 thousand tons per year.^[1]

2020: TMK bought the plant

TMK Group acquired the Yartsevsky Metzavod in October 2020. After that, a program was launched to modernize capacity and increase labor productivity at this enterprise. Thanks to the implemented solutions, production volumes increased from 300 thousand tons to 350 thousand tons per year. At the same time, the transition to a new production technology in the variety rolling shop (slitting process) made it possible to expand the range of products. The plant introduced advanced industrial safety practices, improved social and living conditions, and employees gained access to TMK's corporate development programs.
