2025: Stadium Opening

On December 16, 2025, the opening ceremony of the Yunost stadium, the city's central sports facility, took place in Perm. Financing of modernization in the amount of 1.5 billion rubles. was provided by the Gazprom Social Initiatives Support Fund within the framework of the Gazprom for Children charity program.

As reported on the government portal of the Perm Territory, work on the reconstruction and modernization of the facility began in the fall of 2023. A new four-story sports complex with administrative premises with a total area of ​ ​ more than 9 thousand square meters was erected on the site of the old construction. m. The capacity of the new stands is 1.5 thousand spectators. A key technological solution was an artificial ice freezing system on a track designed for speed skating, short track and curling.

The Governor of the Perm Territory Dmitry Makhonin said that the reconstruction of the stadium turned it into a year-round multifunctional complex, including an open arena, warm locker rooms, a medical unit, basketball, choreographic and fitness rooms.

According to him, the modernization of the facility made it possible to form a modern infrastructure both for the professional training process and for mass sports - running, amateur football, field hockey, skating.

The coach of the sports school of the Olympic reserve "Eaglet" Roman Azmanov noted that the new technology allows you to extend the ice season for training from November to April, which creates the conditions for the preparation of new champions.

The first official competition at the renovated stadium is scheduled for December 20, 2025. For mass skating, the facility will open from January 2, 2026.^[1]
