History

• Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant (JSC ZOMZ) in Soviet period was called a child of the second five-years period. Its construction was begun in 1935.
• In April, 1936 the plant released the first products. The working enterprises carried by their samples at a May Day demonstration. In the fall of 1941 the plant was evacuated to Tomsk, in 1943 the capital equipment of workshops returned on the former place.
• In 1945 specialists of the plant developed and made commander's periscopes of big increase in PBU which were applied at storm of Berlin and were highly appreciated by generals and marshals.
• In 1950 at the enterprise the first domestic devices of night vision began to be developed for the armored equipment.
• In 1954 the first F-54 photofluorographs were released. The same year the grand opening of factory Palace of culture was held.
• In 1967 the State quality label is appropriated to the first three products of the enterprise.
• In 1968 for the first time in the country the model of the BPS 6-12h36 pankratichesky field-glass was developed for space researches at the plant.
• In 1971 for merits before the Fatherland of ZOMZ it was awarded the order the Labour Red Banner.
• In 1972 to the plant the honorary title "The enterprise of high culture of production" is given.
• In 1981 the Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant is transformed to ZOMZ production association.
• In 1983 the enterprise put in serial production the field-glass of BPC 20х60 - the most popular in the country and abroad at the end of the XX century.
• In 1985 the plant is awarded the order the October Revolution.
• In 1994 the enterprise was transformed to Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant public joint stock company.
• In August, 2012 at the Moscow regional tender "Winner of Year" 2011 won against the device intended for prevention, diagnostics, recovery therapy and treatment of functional visual violations at children The Best Five Goods nomination (an ambliopiya, squint, a nistagm, the progressing shortsightedness and visual exhaustion) Monobinoskop of MBS-02.
• In 2013 the line of new observation devices is delivered on production: BKS 20h50, TNK-5M-01, BDN-9, PT-9-01.
