2007-2015
In 2015 the Synacor company purchased Zimbra for $24.5 million. The relevant agreement was signed by the companies in August, 2015. Thanks to this acquisition in Synacor expect to become one of the largest providers of services of e-mail in the USA. As a result of the transaction the Zimbra logo changed a little — the text of "A Synacor product" was added.
In the summer of 2013 the Telligent company purchased division of Zimbra at VMware. Zimbra is engaged in development of means of joint work, and thanks to its acquisition Telligent will be able to add to the packets for creation of corporate social networks components of the calendar and e-mail.
In 2010 the VMware company purchased Zimbra from Yahoo.
Till 2007 Zimbra was the independent company, and then Yahoo purchased it for $350 million.
