Vineyard area. Geography

Volgograd region, Sredneakhtubinsky district, p. Kilyakovka As of 2022, Zimovets V.G. has 10 hectares of vineyards (8.5 hectares of fruit bearing) in the farm, the volume of the annual harvest is on average 13.5 tons.

Terroir

Back in the twentieth century, it was known that the soil and climatic conditions of the Volga region allow growing high-quality grapes throughout its territory not only table grapes, but also valuable technical varieties for cooking juices, high-quality wines and champagne wine materials. The temperature regime of the growing season of our region is very favorable for growing top-grade grapes with a high sugar content in berries and wort. The sum of active temperatures even in the northern regions is 2700-2900. The Volga summer is characterized by an abundance of heat and is not inferior to such classic regions of winemaking as Crimea, Central Asia, Georgia, Moldova. A large number of warm days allows the cultivation of high-quality crops of early grape varieties in the northern regions, as well as any, even the latest varieties, in the southern regions of the region.
