David Chaum

David Chaum is a creator of many cryptographic protocols, including blind schemes of the signature, and electronic money.

Biography and career

In 1982 Chaum founded International Association of Cryptographic Researches (IACR) which organizes the academic conferences on cryptography researches now. It made the significant contribution to promotion of electronic money partially as the founder of DigiCash and electronic payment system eCash.

In 1990 David Chaum received a doctor's degree on information science and management of the University of California of Berkeley. Afterwards he taught at the New York School of the Certified specialist of the University of Management and at the University of California.

Chaum is professor of the Catholic university Leuven.

The deposits Chauma to cryptography include the invention of two networks of anonymity: networks of connection (based for actually all modern networks of anonymity) and direct current mains. He also invented several important digital signatures, different methods for the anonymous mandate, partial key methods (predecessors of threshold enciphering), the first methods for anonymous digital transactions and digital money.

Chaum is a creator of an encryption system of electronic vote.
