Gloria Jeans complemented the IT infrastructure with the WMS system

[1]  Told CORUS Consulting (file) about project completion on system implementation of management of the warehouse WMS Manhattan Associates' ILS on the new distribution center of the largest Russian producer of clothes – Gloria Jeans corporation.

The area of the distribution center located in the Rostov region is 7000 sq.m. On it products from 12 Russian factories of the company and several factories in China arrive. Automation of the center lasted five months and came to the end in the first quarter the current year.

The project was conceived for fall forward of deliveries of new collections to brand stores of the company across all Russia and also for accounting of the seasonal shifts in demand. According to the customer, the implemented warehouse management system considers specifics of production which assume constantly renewed range, the changing goods turnover rate speed, accounting of products by a set of parameters (color, manufacture, the size, length). Besides, it supports opportunities for control of the movement of goods and cross docking, important for the company, and also is suitable for scaling for other warehouses of the company.

Let's note that IT infrastrutura the companies it is quite various. So, on the data which are available for TAdviser, at the end of 2005 in the company implementation of the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics AX, namely modules of management of warehouse stocks and logistics chains came to the end. Later, summer of 2007, the company started system implementation from JDA Software, regarding assortment planning and optimization of stocks. This system was designed to support the model of retail sales arising in the company, in addition to still prevailing wholesale trade.
