JDA Software: income falls, profit grows

The JDA Software company, the developer of the systems of the class SCM,  published financial results   of the year which came to the end on December 31, 2009. In general for 2009 revenues of the company were 385.8 million dollars (in comparison with 390.3 million dollars for 2008). Income from  sale of licenses  for 2009 reached 88.8 million dollars (92.9 million dollars for 2008). Income from a support and maintenance of software products was 179.4 million dollars whereas a year ago this indicator was at the level of 182.8 million dollars. Consulting services in 2009 brought the companies of 107.7 million dollars (104 million dollars in 2008).

Net profit (on GAAP) was at the end of 2009 26.4 million dollars whereas in 2008 the company reported on profit in the amount of 3.1 million dollars.

According to Hamish Brewer (Hamish Brewer), CEO JDA Software, in the fourth quarter 2009 the company received record-breaking good results, having signed 10 contracts for the amount over 1 million dollars. Financial performance of ended quarter became record in the history of the company. In ended year JDA Software faced several competitors, however the company managed to achieve high financial results.

In total in the fourth quarter 2009 69 new contracts were signed. The most part of sales fell on  the American region, however income was reduced in comparison with the same period of last year here. In EMEA and in Asia sales, on the contrary, increased.

JDA Software will complete the acquisition of i2 Technologies company on January 28, 2010 begun at the end of last year.
