Oracle announced the prices of the software complex Fusion Applications. Analysts observe similarity of quotations of a new product with old and drop a hint of doubt in the mass involvement of clients of vendor into migration on a new product. The head of Oracle is convinced of success of sales.

After six years of development of a long-awaited packet of Fusion Applications, Oracle without noise published information on quotations, it is supposed at the same time that the software will become public now or will be like that in the nearest future.

The official declaration or the press release about it was not, and the price list is modestly uploaded to the official site of the company.

Complete price list

It is supposed that software of Fusion Applications will integrate all the best of different product lines of Oracle - ERP (enterprise resource planning) and CRM (customer relationship management) in a software package of the next generation. It will be available to use in local and cloud environments.

Fusion Applications quotations are given in the list: on modules of finance, purchases, PPM (project portfolio management), HCM (human capital management), SCM (supply chain management), CRM, PRM (management of partnership) and GRC (management, risks and compliance).

In most cases quotations Fusion Applications correspond to similar modules of other complexes Oracle ERP. For example, Fusion Applications also E-Business Suite Financials stand up equally - $4595 for one user license. But the basic license Fusion CRM stands up $4910 for one user, in comparison with $3750 for the basic license CRM Siebel.

Meanwhile, Oracle with value focuses attention on the fact that the product Fusion Applications will be supplied with the module BI (Business Intelligence), but it is necessary to pay for it probably separately. In the price Fusion Applications list there is a line on the license of "a transaction business intelligence" at the price of $2000 for one user.

It is difficult to carry out an exhaustive price comparison, considering the different names used for some modules Fusion Applications and also those that are provided as a number of absolutely new opportunities.

There is a question – as price lists are significant actually, considering serious discounts which usually take place when negotiating under the contract.

However, according to the analyst Ray Ray Wang, the CEO of Constellation Research company, clients should not rely on an opportunity to bargain about Fusion Applications: "If transactions are competitive, the prices grow constantly. Oracle provides price policy in the market".

As reported a number of clients for IDG News Service earlier, Oracle stated that to present customers, upon transition to Fusion Applications existing applications will be enlisted with functionality "one in one".

Vang considers that in fact the question costs so: what rights to migration will be acquired by customers. He added that in the course of the conclusion of transactions there are several possible scenarios: "New clients will conduct negotiations with Oracle as on any new transaction. Clients with some components will want to understand what trust level they receive for updating of the rights and what functions are included. Customers of a complete packet of Oracle will have to be defined what functionality of similar applications will be transferred to new".

Not clearly so far, whether it will be possible to attract the existing clients of Oracle to Fusion Applications and as they will be influenced by sales.

The CEO of Oracle Larry Ellison said that users of E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards will be able to pass to Fusion at their choice at any time. This statement should be placed in a context of messages of Oracle as the company will continue collecting of an annual subscription fee of clients who decided to change nothing yet.

But absolutely recently Ellison let know that Oracle expects from Fusion Applications of big sales in the nearest future. "We consider that it will become a huge deposit of this year, and the following, and in a year after it, and it will allow us to catch a considerable share at SAP and some share at our friends from Salesforce.com", - he told last week, during the reporting conference of Oracle according to the results of the fourth quarter.
