Red Hat let out the competitor of Microsoft Azure

Red Hat became World War II by vendor which announced start of the global platform for "cloud" services. The new product is called Red Hat Cloud Foundations and will make the direct competition to the Microsoft Azure platform.

Red Hat issued the platform for "cloud" services Red Hat Cloud Foundations which is intended for creation of both private, and public "cloud" infrastructures. Thus, at the moment Red Hat is the second global vendor proposing platform solution of this sort, the vice president of the company Scott Crenshaw said, meaning by the first Microsoft corporation with the Microsoft Azure platform.

This announcement one of a series of other presentations made by the company concerning development of the direction of "cloud" services at the summit Red Hat Summit which took place the other day in Boston. In addition to release of the new platform in its course it was also announced joining of new partners to the Red Hat Certified Cloud Provider Program program. Also version 2.2 of a packet Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) which is integrated with technology Cisco Cisco Virtual Network Link (VN-Link) now was announced.

The first edition of the Red Hat Cloud Foundations platform included a number of specialized software products as that Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Network Satellite, the mentioned packet of RHEV, JBoss and software intended for message exchange. Besides, it included directly architecture and also a number of consulting services and training lessons.

It was in addition announced that IBM,NTT Communications and Savvis joined the Certified Cloud Provider Program program which first participant, we will remind, Amazon Web Services acted. The program provides that users can start "cloud" software from Red Hat in a program environment of partner vendors without any additional customization.

Also it was announced that are included support of infrastructure from virtual desktops in version 2.2 of a packet of RHEV. One more new feature of a packet is intended for transferring of virtual machines of VMware or Xen to the Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) format from Red Hat. Virtual machines in version 2.2 can use up to 256 GB of memory everyone in comparison with 64 GB of the previous iteration of a packet.

Besides Red Hat announced new partnership with Cisco. The parties integrated Cisco VN-Link and RHEV kernel. This sheaf will allow operators of data centers to control virtual servers in the same way, with what they at the moment operate the physical vehicles that will simplify and will accelerate the procedure.
