Biography

2024: Appointment as Minister of Industry and Digital Development of the Republic of Ingushetia

In September 2024, Adam Kukurkhoev was appointed the new head of the Ministry of Industry and Digital Development of the Republic of Ingushetia. Previously, he worked as deputy minister in the same department and oversaw the direction of industry.

Earlier, since February 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Digital Development of the Republic of Ingushetia was headed by Badma Dordzhiev. His dismissal from the post of minister was not officially announced.

The appointment of Adam Kukurkhoev as the new Minister of Industry and Trade of the region during an expanded meeting of the Government of Ingushetia was announced by the head of the republic Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov in mid-September 2024. Then he said the following:

I want to thank the Government of the region for five years of work. We went through difficult tests when the budget of the republic had a huge deficit of funds associated with public debt and loans. Next were Western economic sanctions, which forced us to rebuild the economy with an orientation towards import substitution. And we did it! We have gained an advantage for the development of industry, the agricultural sector, tourism. In these areas, we have seen stable growth over the past few years.

Adam Kukurkhoev will implement the digital transformation strategy, which was approved at the end of 2023. As part of the implementation of the strategy in Ingushetia, it is planned to create an appropriate competence center for data analysis and processing, as well as, if necessary, to popularize IT specialties and digital transformation projects. The term for the implementation of this digital transformation strategy is until 2024 inclusive.^[1]
