Career

2001-2014

In 2001, Mikhail Afanasyev began working as a legal adviser in a private company, then as an assistant judge of the Yevpatoriya city court, since 2006 he held various positions in the tax service.

In 2012-2014, he was a judge of the Saki City District Court and the Republican Administrative Court, then - Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea.

2019-2020

Since August 2019, he led the administration of the resort city of Saki. Since February 2020, he headed the Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of Crimea.

2022: Appointment of the head of the administration of Simferopol

March 14, 2022 it became known about the election of Mikhail Afanasyev as the new head of the administration of Simferopol. Prior to that, he served as Minister of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of Crimea.

All 29 deputies of the city council of Simferopol voted for Afanasyev. The second candidate, the director of the company "Inflorescence Alvita" Vitaly Ratkovsky, did not receive a single vote.

We will deal with all issues systemically, as planned, but promptly. We must get a concrete result and show the townspeople that they live in a comfortable capital. The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, confirmed in his Telegram channel that there are no radical and sharp reshuffles in the city hall of Simferopol. He also intends this week, after consultations with Afanasyev, to determine the new head of the ministry.

From today, Mikhail Sergeevich Afanasyev practically assumes the duties of the head of the administration of the city of Simferopol. I am sure that this candidacy for Simferopol residents is the most optimal, given the experience and knowledge that should allow us to solve all the issues that have accumulated. Unfortunately, previous administrations have failed a number of tasks, in particular, the improvement of house areas.
