2025: Arrest in Bribe Taking Case

In mid-October 2025, it became known that the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk arrested the former general director of PJSC Rosseti Siberia Pavel Akilin. He is a defendant in a criminal bribery case.

We are talking about contracts concluded by PJSC Rosseti Siberia with Energopuls LLC. In the period from July to October 2024, the company signed two subcontracts with this company for the performance of work and three contracts for the supply of goods. The amount of agreements ranged from 1 million to 14 million rubles each. Energopulse fulfilled its obligations, but did not receive money from the customer.

Akilin undertook to solve the problem, promising to pay off Energopulse in the first place - bypassing other counterparties waiting for payment. According to the investigation, the power engineer kept his word and the money really went to the supplier's accounts until July 2025. For his services, Akilin requested 2 million rubles: this amount was calculated as a percentage of the total debt to Energopulse. Akilin received the money, according to the case file, on March 28, 2025.

In general, according to preliminary estimates of specialists attracted by the investigation, the amount of direct and indirect damage from the actions of the ex-head of Siberian Rosseti can reach 1.5 billion rubles. The criminal case was initiated under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - taking a bribe on an especially large scale. Such acts are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 8 to 15 years with a fine of up to 70 times the amount of the bribe.

At PJSC Rosseti Siberia, Pavel Akilin has worked since 2017 as deputy director for economics and finance and as first deputy head. He became the head of the enterprise on March 29 of the same year and was reassigned in 2022. Akilin left the post of general director of PJSC Rosseti Siberia at the end of March 2025.[1]
