2021: Suspended sentence for production of medical equipment without a license
In mid-November 2021, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Samara found guilty the general director of the Samara company Biom Park Igor Alekhine in the production of medical devices without a license (paragraph "b" part 2 of article 235.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The entrepreneur was sentenced to a suspended sentence of 3 years with the same probation period.
As the investigation established, in the period from December 2015 to May 2016, a company specializing in the production of medical equipment and the wholesale trade in medical equipment assembled two Biom-Volna complexes. At the same time, production was carried out without the necessary license.
The equipment was subsequently sent to one of the rehabilitation centers of the capital as part of the implementation of the state contract. The equipment was estimated at 494 thousand rubles.
Biom-Volna is a pneumatic IB massager originally created in the Samara NPO Biom Park in cooperation with Samara State Aerospace University for the training and post-flight rehabilitation of astronauts. The complex was registered with Roszdravnadzor as a medical product from 2001 to 2010, and then re-registered three times in 2010, 2012 and 2016 - with an indefinite validity period of the RU. Currently, the holder of the dossier is Biom Park LLC.
The complexes are used by sports teams for accelerated treatment of sports injuries and high-speed power training of athletes. Since 2013, Samara Biom-Park LLC and Moscow BiomMedService LLC have been distributors of the massager.
According to information posted in the SPARK-Interfax system, Igor Alekhine heads two legal entities of the same name, Biom Park LLC, by mid-November 2021. In March 2016, the manufacturer delivered a complex of medical and rehabilitation wave massage to Samara State University for 200 thousand rubles.[1]
