2023: Death in an accident
On March 24, at 00:40 in the Oryol region, a traffic accident occurred, as a result of which the famous confectioner and co-founder of the Syrovarnya restaurant chain Aleksei Lyovin died.
As reported on the website of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the area of the 305th kilometer of the Crimea M-2, a Mercedes-Benz heavy truck, violating the marking lines, made an exit into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a Mitsubishi Pajero car. Levin, who was driving this SUV, died while being transported to a medical facility. The restaurateur's wife Svetlana and his brother, who were in the car, died at the scene of the accident before the ambulance brigade arrived. Another passenger, a boy born in 2010, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
It was previously established that the truck driver, a man born in 1983, was moving towards Moscow. Unable to cope with the control, he drove into the oncoming lane, where he made a head-on collision with a Mitsubishi Pajero. At the same time, as noted, the blow was so strong that the SUV turned into a pile of warped metal.
In relation to the driver of a heavy truck, the investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Mtsensky" opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 5 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation by a person driving a car, tram or other mechanical vehicle, traffic rules or operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence." The man was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, - noted in the message of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Oryol region. |
The driver of the truck is under house arrest. Investigators find out the circumstances of the accident: according to the results of the investigation, a decision will be made regarding the culprit of the fatal accident.[1]
