Alexey Druzhinin was born in 1973.

Education

He graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy with a degree in Jurisprudence.

Biography

1992-2003

In 1999-2002 - General Counsel. In 2002-2003 - Head of the Department of Regulatory and Legal Work and International Agreements of the Center for Corporate Transport Services under the Ministry of Railways (IPU) of the Russian Federation.

In 2003 - Deputy Head of the Legal Department, Head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation. In 2004, he was appointed head of the legal department of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation (the ministry was abolished in March 2004).

2004-2006

In 2004-2005, he served as head of the legal department of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport.

In 2005-2006 he was Deputy Director of the Department of Legal Support and Legislative Activities of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

2006-2008

From 2006 to 2008 - Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Railway Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

From March 2008 to July 2014 - Director of the Department of Legal Support and Legislative Activities of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

2014

In December 2014, he was appointed Deputy Executive Director of the Union of Market Participants for Railway Rolling Stock Operators (a non-profit organization that protects the interests of rolling stock operators). Since June 2015, he served as executive director of the Union.

2022: Appointment as Head of Roszheldor

At the end of January 2022, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree approving Alexei Druzhinin as the new head of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport (Roszheldor). His predecessor Igor Koval was relieved of his post in December 2021, and his duties were then transferred to the deputy head of the agency, Alexander Ivanov.

Awards

Acting State Councilor, Class II (2009).

He was awarded the medal "For the Development of Railways" (2007).[1]
