Andrew Anagnost graduated from Stanford University and has an academic degree in the field of aviation engineering and computer sciences.
Career
Anagnost started the career in Lockheed Aeronautical Systems company and was a member of scientific community of the research center of Ames in NASA.
1997: A beginning of the career in Autodesk
Andrew Anagnost began work in Autodesk in 1997. For the career in the company held different technical and strategic positions there, in particular, headed development of Autodesk Inventor. As the senior vice president for business strategy and marketing he directed transition to sales on a subscription and distribution of cloud products of the company.
2017: Appointment of Autodesk as the CEO
In June, 2017 Andrew Anagnost is appointed the president and the CEO of Autodesk company. He will also join Autodesk the board.

Andrew Anagnost headed Autodesk instead of Carl Bass who resigned the authority in February, 2017 to find more time for personal interests, including robotics. Since that moment of Anagnost fulfilled duties of the co-director and marketing director of the company.
Amar Hanspal who on an equal basis with Anagnost ran Autodesk after Bass's resignation decided to leave the company. The reason of this solution is not stated.[1]
