2024: Sentence - 14 years in prison for creating an organized crime group

On June 10, 2024, the Kuntsevsky District Court of Moscow sentenced Andrei Molokoedov, former adviser to the director of the Scientific Center for Immunology of Moscow State University, to 14 years in prison for creating an organized criminal community (organized crime group) and a number of other crimes. This decision was the result of a long-term trial, during which Molokoedov was accused of leading an organized criminal group called "United People's Community Partnerships" (ENOT).

According to the court, Molokoedov was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation of a criminal community), part 1 of Art. 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (threat of murder or grievous bodily harm), as well as paragraph "a, b" part 3 of Art. 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (extortion). Earlier, the prosecutor's office demanded to appoint him 14.5 years in a maximum security colony, but the court ruled a term of 14 years.

In 2018, Molokoedov, being an adviser to the director of the Scientific Center for Immunology of Moscow State University Mikhail Paltsev, headed a criminal organization that acted under the guise of a military-patriotic organization. According to the case file, the organized criminal group organized an attack on the house of Tuapse resident Pyotr Suponev and threatened the director of Miraksbiopharma JSC Vadim Druch to force him to resign.

Molokoedov's defense claimed that he only intervened in the conflict over the land plot between Suponev and the family of academician Mikhail Paltsev. However, the investigation established that Molokoedov actively collaborated with Roman Telenkevich, one of the leaders of the PMC "Raccoon," who was sentenced to 13 years, and later released to participate in a military operation in Ukraine.

During the proceedings, the Moscow City Court previously overturned Molokoedov's sentence, citing a violation of his right to defense. He spent more than five years under investigation and in custody, but was eventually convicted again.

In parallel, the Moscow Garrison Military Court was considering a case against another leader of the PMC "Raccoon," Major FSB Alexander Mrischuk, and four of his accomplices accused of participating in organized criminal groups, robberies and thefts. The court acquitted them of the unspecified event of the crime and they were released.[1]
