Education

Andrey Tarasov graduated from the Kemerovo State Medical Academy with a degree in medical medicine in 2005. In 2006, he completed his studies in clinical internship in the specialty "surgery," in 2008 - in clinical residency in the specialty "surgery," in 2013 - in the specialty "urology." In 2014, he received a Ph.D. in medical sciences. In 2015, he underwent professional retraining in the specialty "organization health care and public health," in 2021 - in the specialty "oncology."

Career

2025: Appointment as Head of the Ministry of Health of the Kemerovo Region

On August 4, 2025, the governor of the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass, Ilya Seredyuk, appointed Andrei Tarasov to the post of head of the regional Ministry of Health. Previously, he headed the Kemerovo City Clinical Hospital No. 11.

Tarasov began his career as a nurse and nurse. Then he blunted the post of surgeon at the Kemerovo City Clinical Hospital No. 11. In June 2020, he became deputy chief physician for surgical issues in this medical institution, and in July 2022 he took over as chief physician.

Seredyuk expressed confidence that Tarasov's organizational experience will allow him to effectively cope with the tasks set for the development of the health sector in Kuzbass. One of the most important areas is the continuation of the modernization of medical institutions in the region, the high-quality and timely provision of medical care and systematic work on the training of medical personnel.
