2026: Transfer of property worth 28 billion rubles to the income of the Russian Federation

In January 2026, the Krasnodar Regional Court confirmed the legality of the seizure of the property of the ex-employee of the office of the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District Andrei Korovaiko to the state treasury. The value of the seized assets is estimated at 28 billion rubles.

By this decision, the court upheld the decision of the Kanevsky District Court of May 12, 2025. The reason for the seizure was a violation of anti-corruption legislation when acquiring property. According to the press service of the Krasnodar court, 372 real estate objects will become the property of the state. The list includes agricultural land plots, as well as commercial and residential buildings and premises.

According to RBC, Andrei Korovaiko is the founder of the Pokrovsky concern, registered in 2004. The holding's activities include crop production, animal husbandry, processing and storage of agricultural products.

This judgment is not the first in relation to property related to Korovaiko. In February 2024, assets in the amount of 9 billion rubles belonging to Korovaiko and affiliates were withdrawn to state revenue. The court found that these assets were acquired with funds received by corruption during the work of Korovaiko in the office of the plenipotentiary. In October 2023, the Labinsky City Court ruled to recover the property of the beneficiaries of the concern for a total amount exceeding 500 billion rubles.

Andrei Korovaiko does not recognize the charges that he is associated with the world of crime. He also disputes allegations of corruption activities together with the former chairman of the Council of Judges of Russia Viktor Momotov. According to RBC, Andrei Korovaiko has been put on the international wanted list.^[1]
