Alexander Anikin previously worked at Uber (a partner of Yandex in the field of taxi and food orders. Earlier in 2021, Yandex and Uber announced the restructuring of the joint venture. The first part of the transaction was completed in the third quarter, as a result of which Yandex increased its stake in MLU, a company engaged in food delivery and taxi calling projects, to 68.3%, buying 4.5% of the capital from an American partner. The company also fully consolidated the second joint venture with Uber - the unmanned business of Yandex SDG - through the acquisition of 18.2% from a partner.

The final stage involves the redemption from a partner of an indirect 33.5% stake in Yandex.Ed, Yandex.Shop and Yandex.Delivery and their full consolidation by Yandex.

The change of CEO of Yandex.Taxi became known the day after the work of Yandex.Go, which combines taxis and several other services of the company, failed: some users faced problems when paying for services using Apple Pay.[1]
