One of the most important innovations was the introduction of systemic automation of the process of issuing pensions and benefits. 2022: Kazakh President leaves Mussina Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry after change of government
On January 11, 2022, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on the new composition of the government. Bagdat Mussin remained the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace.[1]
2024: Appointment as Head of Kazakhtelecom
On June 10, 2024, it was announced the appointment of Bagdat Mussin as the new head of Kazakhtelecom. He took this post a little over a month after leaving the post of Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Bagdat Mussin became chairman of the board of Kazakhtelecom instead of Kuanyshbek Esekeev, who was previously appointed adviser to the President of Kazakhstan.

On April 30, 2024, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev dismissed Bagdat Mussin from the post of head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Bagdat Mussin later commented on leaving office. In social networks, he noted that he himself resigned. Mussin have been work in this position since September 2020.

On May 2, 2024, Vice Minister of Digital Development Askhat Orazbek, on the sidelines of the Senate, spoke about the resignation of the head of the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan. He stated that he did not associate this with incidents in the field of digitalization and the leakage of data from Kazakhstanis.[2]
