2022: Found himself paralyzed and died after having teeth removed
On August 17, 2022, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Tatarstan announced the initiation of a criminal case on the death of a man after tooth removal. We are talking about 39-year-old Denis Batman.
As the former wife of the man, Victoria Batmanova, told the NTR 24 TV channel, in March 2022, after removing two teeth in one of the dental clinics in Nizhnekamsk, his cheek began to swell. Swelling increased. The man returned to Kazan and called the surgeon, who removed his teeth. He sent him to the 7th city hospital in Kazan.
In early April 2022, when the swelling had already spread to the neck, the man went to the hospital. Doctors said surgery should be done. During the intervention, the man experienced cardiac arrest. Doctors could not supply oxygen in a timely manner, as there was swelling of the trachea. Because of this, hypoxia began, that is, a lack of oxygen in the brain. The man was put into a drug-induced coma, connected to a ventilator.
A few days later he was taken out of a coma, but the patient was paralyzed: he did not talk, could not move, ate through a tube. After a long stay in the hospital, in early June 2022, the man was discharged with the words that he might remain in this state forever.
