Mikhail Bavbel in 2000 graduated from the Belarusian state university of information science and radio electronics.
Career
Since June, 2000 Bavbel went to work in IBA Group (IBM joint venture and the Belarusian scientific research institutes) where he as the software engineer was engaged in development and support of products of the line of IBM z/OS.
In 2007-2008 worked in EMC, and then again returned to IBM and till 2016 was engaged in product developments of a line of Tivoli, z/VM and z/VSE at first as the engineer, then - the manager.
Appointment as the CEO of IBM laboratory in Russia
In June, 2016 Mikhail Bavbel headed the Russian development center of IBM, having released the CEO Sergey Dmitriyev from a duty.
