Biography

2020: Appointment as the president and CEO of HID Global 

In February, 2020 the decision maker on management of identification data of HID Global announced Bjørn Lidefelt's appointment  the new president and the CEO of the company. It replaced Stefan Vidinga who directed the company for more than four years.

Bjørn Lidefelt joined HID Global after work as the commercial director in head company HID ASSA ABLOY where he supervised branding, communications, commercial development and strategy. It also has extensive experience in international sales and marketing, having worked more than nine years in the markets of the countries of the Pacific Rim, including China and Malaysia, it is specified in the press release devoted to change of the CEO of HID Global.

I expect that I will head the betrayed to case and talented global command focused on providing the leading industry solutions for the governments, the universities, hospitals, financial institutions conducting on the planet of the innovative companies for creation of reliable physical and digital entities — Bjørn Lidefelt said.

According to the president and the chief executive officer of ASSA ABLOY Nicko Delvaux, Bjørn Lidefelt "passed very successful way" together with the company, and now and will bring in HID Global the wealth of experience and a new view on the different markets.

In the press release it is also said that by the beginning of February, 2020 in HID Global there are more than 4 thousand employees working in the different countries and the servicing clients more than in 100 countries. More than 2 billion devices in the world are connected among themselves thanks to HID technologies.^[1]
