Biography
The favorite motives of the artist's work were the winter Russian landscape and abandoned noble parks and estates.
The revolution and civil war forced Boris Bessonov to leave Russia forever. In 1922, he was evacuated to Constantinople, ended up on the island of Lemnos, from there - to France.
In Paris, he got a job in the gallery of L. Gerard, where he exhibited and sold his paintings.
Through the mediation of the gallery, he performed orders for South America and Britain.
Since 1931 he exhibited in the salon of Independents (an association of artists created in Paris in 1884).
The artist's works are stored in the Art Museums of France and England.
