2025: Appointment as CEO of Modern Shipbuilding Technologies JSC

Gennady Bukaev became the new general director of Modern Shipbuilding Technologies JSC (STS). The corresponding entry in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL) appeared in mid-January 2025.

According to Interfax, STS is the holding structure of the Zvezda shipyard. Bukaev also headed the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center JSC (DCSS), on the basis of which a shipyard is being created. Earlier, the SDS and the DCSS were led by Konstantin Laptev in the status of vice president of Rosneft. He retired from the oil company at the end of December 2024.

SSK Zvezda, headed by Bukaev, is the first Russian large-tonnage shipyard specializing in the construction of ice-class vessels, vessels with a displacement of up to 350 thousand tons and other types of marine equipment. In recent years, the company has significantly increased the volume of tax contributions to budgets of different levels.

By mid-January 2025, Bukaev remains the general director of Rosneftegaz.

Awards

He was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland II (in 2022), IV (2007) degrees and the Order of Honor (2019).[1]
