Education

In 1991 he graduated with honors from the medical faculty of the Krasnoyarsk State Medical Institute. From 1991 to 1993 he studied in clinical residency, then - in full-time graduate school at the Department of General Surgery of the Krasnoyarsk State Medical Academy.

Career

2025: Appointment as Rector of Krasnoyarsk State Medical University

On September 30, 2025 Ministry of Health Russia , he issued an order Krasnoyarsk State Medical University (KrasGMU) appointing Professor Dmitry Cherdantsev to the post of acting rector. The main direction of work of the 57-year-old specialist will be the implementation of the federal project "Medical Personnel," which is part of the national project. "A Long and Active Life"

Cherdantsev is a doctor of medical sciences, a practicing surgeon. He has the titles "Excellence in Health Care" and "Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation," was awarded the medal "For Dedication," the state award of the Russian Federation - the Order of Pirogov.

By the end of September 2025, Dmitry Cherdantsev heads the Department of Hospital Surgery named after Prof. A. M. Dykhno. In addition, he heads the Krasnoyarsk Regional Purulent-Septic Center of the Regional Clinical Hospital. He is the chief freelance surgeon of the Ministry of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the chief freelance combustiologist of the Siberian Federal District, a member of the international association of hepatology surgeons, the Russian society of gastroenterology surgeons, and chairman of the board of the Krasnoyarsk regional scientific and practical society of surgeons.
