2024: Appointment as Minister of Communications and Digital Development of Chechnya

In early June 2024, Adam Cherkhigov was appointed the new Minister of Transport, Communications and Digital Development of Chechnya. In this post, he replaced Ramzan Cherkhigov. This was announced by the head of the republic Ramzan Kadyrov.

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commenting on the appointment of Adam Cherkhigov as the new head of the regional ministry of transport, communications and digital development, noted the following:

Adam is a worthy member of the team founded by the First President of the Czech Republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov. Despite his young age, he has extensive experience in leadership positions and the necessary professional skills to qualitatively and effectively fulfill the tasks facing the ministry. I am sure that Adam will fully justify the trust in him.

Adam Cherkhigov, before being appointed to a new position, was chairman of the Chechen government committee on preschool education. As RBC notes, Adam Cherkhigov is the son of Zargan Kadyrova, the sister of the head of the republic, and Ramzan Cherkhigov. Ramzan Kadyrov Adam Cherkhigov is a nephew.

On June 4, 2024, Ramzan Kadyrov announced the inclusion of the preschool education committee, headed by Adam Cherkhigov, in the structure of the Chechen Ministry of Education and Science.
