Chichvarkin Evgeny

The Russian entrepreneur, the co-founder and the ex-co-owner of the Euroset company owning network of cellular shops. Since March, 2009 is in the international wanted list.

Education

After leaving school in 1991 Chichvarkin came to the State academy of management from which graduated in 1996, having gained the diploma in "Managerial economics on motor transport". In the same time was engaged in trade in the ware markets.

From 1996 to 1998 studied in a postgraduate study of academy.

Biography

1997

On April 2, 1997 together with the friend Timur Artemyev created Euroset company which became afterwards the largest Russian cellular retailer.

2005-2006

In 2005 during scandal over the illicit mobile phones delayed by customs, Euroset was an attention object from law enforcement agencies.

On March 29, 2006, on departure from the territory of Sheremetyevsky customs, law enforcement officers withdrew 167 500 mobile phone numbers of Motorola C115 model, intending Euroset companies, with a total cost of 530 million rubles. On April 26 it was announced that the staff of the Moscow state unitary enterprise of Promotkhoda a day before it started destruction of these mobile phones. On August 24 criminal case was closed behind lack of evidence, and 117 500 phone numbers are returned to Euroset.

2008

On September 2, 2008 law enforcement officers carried out a search at the central office of Euroset company which was connected with legal investigation of stealing in 2003 of the former forwarding agent of Euroset of Andrey Vlaskin convicted by a security service of the company of thefts of cell phones.

On September 22, 2008 the sales agreement of 100% of Euroset company of the ANN investment company headed by the entrepreneur Alexander Mamut was signed. On October 24 50% minus one stock of Euroset company were purchased at ANN company by Vympel Communications company.

On November 16, 2008 Chichvarkin headed still the unregistered Moscow city office of a batch Right cause. Also he was appointed responsible for branding of a batch.

On November 20, 2008 it became known that Chichvarkin left a post of the chairman of the board of directors of Euroset company.

Before the departure from the country of cores on Rublyovka in Zhukovka. On December 22, 2008 took off for London.

2010: Conflict with division of "K" BSTM of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

In May, 2010 the ex-co-owner of Euroset Evgeny Chichvarkin published in the personal blog on the website of the Snob magazine the address to the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev with a request to stop criminal activity of gang of werewolves in shoulder straps on which conscience several death and robberies of the Russian companies for billions of rubles. By Banda Chichvarkin calls division "To" BSTM Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The businessman claims that in 2005 by werewolves in shoulder straps it was withdrawn from seven retail companies of goods a minimum of 1.5 trillion rub which were stolen afterwards from warehouses of the Russian Fund of Federal Property (RFFP) for forgery documents. The state, according to him, got no more than 3% of cost of these goods.

In 2006 "gang" organized raider capture of a batch of the Motorola phones for $20 million, Chichvarkin claims. From them the batch for $1 million was stolen, and the rest was returned. It, according to the founder of Euroset, occurred "thanks to open acts of Boris Levin (heads of a security service of Euroset, - a comment of CNews) and to the subsequent intervention of the top management of the country".

Chichvarkin also accuses division "To" of the death of the former head of Motorola in Russia Sergey Kozlov (left a post in January, 2007, died on May 29, 2007) who got heart attack after interrogations and intimidations in the death of mother of the assistant Natalya Ikonnikova and also in bringing to attempt of suicide of the employee of Euroset Yury Rogov.

Besides, the former head of Euroset accuses division "To" of defeat of apartments of the close friends at which its things, were stored in attack on the assistant Ekaterina Kurashova in day of delivery of its tax declaration, in plunder of the notebook of the assistant to his partner and in plunder of the notebook at the lawyer.

Also Evgeny Chichvarkin accuses "gang" of permanent robberies and racketings, that several years they held and keep hundreds of key staff of Euroset company and many other companies in awe and also in a raider raid on Euroset on September 2, 2008 which purpose was "select the company or at least to cool its cost to zero".

In the address to the president it is also said that after arrest the staff of Euroset was exposed to interrogations without lawyers, to intimidation and even bribery. According to Chichvarkin, criminal case concerning the staff of Euroset company is quite transparent, and Vlaskin and Smurgin who are actively protected by law enforcement agencies — thieves.

In addition, the ex-owner of Euroset claims that Boris Lyovin and his subordinates did not commit those serious crimes of which they are accused. According to him, "their nearly two years hold hostage, extorting from me money from sale to the company".

Euroset under my management made much for development of retail technologies and service in Russia, performance measures of work were often higher European, than other industries of the Russian economy cannot brag. At the end of the address the ex-owner of Euroset listed surnames of people whom he considers "werewolves in shoulder straps": Morozov, Pimenov, Knyazev, Gryaznov, Groshev, Filippov, Yukhimenko, Musayev, Borisov and Kitayev. "Looking" Euroset he called the lieutenant colonel Dmitry Osvaldo, and "kingpins" of the general Konstantin Machabeli and the general Boris Miroshnikov.

2020

Infection with a coronavirus of COVID-19 and recovery

On May 16, 2020 Evgeny Chichvarkin on the page wrote to Instagram that he had a coronavirus and also published the photo with test result on antibodies to COVID-19. In comments on the post the co-founder and the former owner of Euroset told how his disease proceeded.

Weakness, drowsiness, small temperature. I could not believe that it is that [virus]. Then the sense of smell was gone, in ten days began to return  — the Russian entrepreneur told.

He noted that he had 1.5 months ago benign, continuing to ride a bicycle, to practice boxing and to drink wine.

Did not interrupt studies, to thump too. If to you there are not 80 years and there is no predisposition to diseases of lungs, everything is similar to long weak flu — Chichvarkin reported, having added that he was treated "by vitaminchik and good old penicillin at the end".

After the postponed disease he took the test for a coronavirus twice, both times the result was negative. The businessman's children, according to him, did not catch.

Chichvarkin also told that his test for antibodies to COVID-19 showed  positive result. It means that the co-founder of Euroset already had a disease of a coronavirus.

To the middle of May, 2020 Chichvarkin continues to live in Britain where he is engaged in wine and restaurant business: it possesses Hide restaurant and wine shop Hedonism Wines.

According to the entrepreneur, in the conditions of COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic its business fell into financial hardship.

Business is half alive. Only delivery works. The restaurant is alive for  10% because only delivery. We wait for eases  —  Chichvarkin told.[1]

Money transfer on treatment in Germany to Alexei Navalny

On October 14, 2020 Navalny reported that flight from Omsk to Berlin cost 79 thousand euro and was paid by the businessman Boris Zimin. The account for hospital made 49.9 thousand euros. Read more here.
