2025: Recovery of hundreds of millions of rubles in favor of the DIA
From the former top managers of Rublev Bank, the Moscow Arbitration Court recovered ₽541,5 million losses in favor of the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA), which serves as a bankruptcy trustee. The decision on this case was made in March 2025.
According to Interfax, according to the operative part of the ruling published on the court's website, ₽273 million will be jointly recovered from the former chairman of the bank's board Vladimir Danilov, as well as members of the board of directors Oksana Borodina and Igor Fisenko. In addition, ₽188,2 million are jointly recovered from Danilov and Fisenko, and an additional ₽80,3 million losses are personally recovered from Fisenko.
The Bank of Russia revoked the license from Rublev Bank on June 27, 2018. The Central Bank of the Russian Federation filed a bankruptcy petition with the Moscow Arbitration Court on July 5, 2018. In September of the same year, the court declared the bank bankrupt.
According to the results of the first quarter of 2018, Rublev Bank ranked 165th in terms of assets in the Interfax-100 ranking prepared by Interfax-CEA.
Earlier, the Deposit Insurance Agency filed for bankruptcy of the former co-owners of the commercial bank Rublev - chairman of the board of directors and beneficiary Grigory Gurevich and his wife, shareholder of the bank Vera Artyakova. The court banned these persons from leaving Russia.
According to the DIA, the above persons were also brought to subsidiary responsibility. Its potential size is ₽7,8 billion. The final amount will be determined upon completion of settlements with the bank's creditors. As interim measures, the court seized the property of the defendants.
In April 2023, Grigory Gurevich and ex-member of the board of directors of Rublev Bank Sergei Shapoval were found guilty of embezzling the property of a credit institution by issuing a deliberately bad loan to a legal entity. According to the results of the criminal proceedings, they were sentenced to 4 and 3 years in prison conditionally, respectively.[1]
