2019: Appointment of Suse as the head
On July 22, 2019 Melissa Di Donato was appointed the CEO of Suse company. It released Niels Braukman who worked as a part of the Linux distribution kits developer for eight years from this duty.
Speaking about Di Donato, Niels Braukmana called her "the checked and dynamic reformer".
Its many success was achieved in the companies which specialize in a subscription business model and which work in fast-growing cloud segments. I am sure that Melissa is that person who will help Suse to implement all potential fully — the former head of the company said. |
On the page on social network LinkedIn Braukman called the leaving Suse "the difficult decision which was made only for the personal reasons".
As reported in the press release, on a position of the CEO of Suse Melissa Di Donato will focus on development of commercial progress and innovations in core business of the company and also in the field of the developing technologies, using both the organic growth, and acquisitions of assets. The EQT Partners investment company (the owner of Suse) will help the new CEO with implementation by growth strategy.
Di Donato says that "Suse is on a threshold of historical changes as software open source now is a critical part of the main business strategy of any prospering company.
Before receiving this position she worked as the operating officer of SAP and was responsible for global indicators of profit and revenue and also for customer satisfaction with the main digital solutions of the German company. By July, 2019 Suse and SAP cooperate about 20 years.
Melissa Di Donato will start accomplishment of duties the CEO of Suse on August 5, 2019. She will become the first woman who headed this company, notes the ZDNet edition.[1]
