2012-2014: Head of PC business of HP

In January, 2012 Uaysler came to HP where headed Asia-Pacific (including Japan) representative office of division on release of printers and computers (Printing & Personal Systems). Having work experience in the computer companies, such as Acer and Lenovo, it helped HP to strengthen positions as PC maker.

In 2012 Dion Weisler won the tender for delivery of 1.5 million inexpensive computers to the big Indian customer. It is curious that HP was not going to participate in this project as it was considered as unprofitable: terms of the contract assumed release of very cheap systems. Weisler took use of all component parts therefore it was succeeded to reduce cost value of each computer for $67.4 under own control.[2]

Dion Weisler will direct new company HP Inc.

The head of that time of HP Asia Pacific & Japan Printing & Personal Systems could cut down production costs concerning notebooks of initial level that allowed the company to become more competitive in this segment, the executive vice president of outsourcing company ASI System Integration Mark Romanowski remembers.

According to analysts of IDC, in 2011 the share of HP in the world market of computers worth below $300 made 10.3%, and three years later increased up to 30.1%.

In the middle of 2013 Uaysler became the head of global division of Printing & Personal Systems, having replaced Todd Bradley.

Dion Weisler will head HP Inc. Hewlett-Packard Enterprise will direct Meg Whitman. Completion of the procedure of separation of business is planned for 2015.

Uaysler will head business which annual volume is about $60 billion. The main problems which the head of HP of Inc. should face are decline in demand for personal computers, increase in prices for component parts, decrease in profitability and keen competition.
