Position

Ex-vice governor of the Leningrad Region, ex-Chairman of the Committee of economic development and investment activities of the Leningrad Region. Was the person responsible for informatization of the region.

Biography

Grigory Viktorovich Dvas (Leningrad was born on March 1, 1965) — Russian economic and the statesman, the scientist-economist, the vice governor, the Chairman of the Committee of economic development and investment activities of the Leningrad Region.

Education

Graduate of department of mechanics and management processes of physicomechanical faculty of the Leningrad polytechnical institute of 1987 and en: Kennedy Western University (Boise, State of Idaho, USA) of 1995 (specialty "economy").

Career

Before arrival to the government of the Leningrad Region worked in:

  • NPO RITM of Minsudprom of the USSR (1987 — 1991),
  • Soviet-Bulgarian JV RPS (1991 — 1992),
  • to the external economic company "NOBL" (1992 — 1994),
  • consulting company "Rusinvest" (1994 — 1996),
  • Humanitarian fund of the CIS (1996).

It is appointed the Chairman of the Committee of economic development and investment activities of the Leningrad Region (this name of committee) in October, 1996. In Serdyukov's government is the permanent vice governor supervising the economic block (since May, 1999).

Has scientific degrees of the Doctor of Economics (2000), Candidate of Technical Sciences (1991) both doctors of business administration (1995) (USA) and an academic status of professor (2003). Professor of department of regional economy and environmental management of Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance (FINEK). Author more than 150 scientific works.

The member of Interdepartmental Northwest coordination council at the Russian Academy of Sciences on basic and application studies. Chairman of the Leningrad regional department of the Russian Geographical Society.

Family

He is married, the father of three children.
