According to the case file, about four at night the patient set fire to clothes and bedding, which is why a fire broke out in the ward and adjacent premises, and he himself fled. The reason for the arson, according to investigators, was the hostile relationship of Dmitry Eremin with one of the neighbors in the ward, who snore loudly and prevented him from sleeping. The video from the surveillance camera, which recorded the actions of the convict, helped to establish the attacker.

According to the investigation, the drug treatment center was located in a multi-storey residential building and did not have a license to provide medical care in a 24-hour hospital. The clinic also revealed fire safety violations - the automatic alarm of the fire warning system and the beginning of evacuation was faulty, the employees did not undergo instruction. During the fire, patients, being under the influence of sedatives, could not leave the building on their own and quickly.

The criminal case against the former director of Chistye Gorod LLC Olga Beskrovnaya in the provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, which, through negligence, resulted in the death of four people by mid-May 2022, is being considered in the Zheleznodorozhny district court.[1]
