Career

1998-2018

Evgeny Yeliseyev began working in the structure of Sberbank in 1998. For 20 years, he built a career in the Baikal region and grew from the position of a credit inspector to the deputy chairman of the Baikal Bank.

In January 2018, Evgeny Yeliseyev took the post of manager of the Krasnoyarsk branch, and 10 months later he became deputy chairman of the Central Russian Bank, where he worked before his appointment to the Belarusian Sber Bank.

2024: Appointment of the Board of Directors of the Belarusian Sber Bank

On May 29, 2024, Evgeny Yeliseyev was appointed the new chairman of the board of Sber Bank OJSC. He replaced Igor Merkulov, who headed the Belarusian division of Sberbank for 5.5 years. Merkulov will continue to work in the Sberbank group.

According to him, Evgeny Yeliseyev has rich managerial experience, knows how to comprehensively approach the solution of the tasks. For 26 years of work in the Sberbank group, he learned the best practices of management efficiency and increasing business profitability, Vedyakhin said. He also expressed confidence that the appointment of the Yeliseyeva will strengthen the Sber Bank team in Belarus, will achieve all the goals set, in particular, digitalization of processes, expansion of the client base and the introduction of a human-center model of customer service.

The press service of "Sber" adds that the change of the head of OJSC "Sber Bank" took place within the framework of the strategy for the rotation of managers to solve ambitious tasks to scale the business and improve the direction of client service.[1]
