2021: Detention while trying to import drugs

September 8, 2021 it became known about the detention of the founder of the reservation service Ostrovok.ru Sergey Fage. During the inspection at Domodedovskaya customs, the entrepreneur was found to have drugs.

Sergey Fage transported drugs on a large scale. A criminal case has been instituted against him under Part 3 of Art. 229.1, the court has chosen a preventive measure - detention for 30 days, the press service of customs told RBC.

During the inspection of hand luggage, Fage found "an orange capsule and a different fragment of colored paper," customs said. A piece of paper contained a narcotic substance, and a capsule - psychotropic.

On the website of the Domodedovo customs on August 26, 2021, a message was published "about an attempt to smuggle" LSD and amphetamine. The publication did not disclose the identity of the person who tried to smuggle prohibited substances, it refers only to a citizen of Ukraine who arrived from Switzerland on personal business. The drugs were found in a backpack.

Article 229.1 part 3 provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 10 to 20 years with a fine of up to 1 million rubles.

In addition to creating the travel service Ostrovok.ru, with which you can book a hotel or hostel, Sergey Fage is known for his articles on biohacking - the use of many pharmaceuticals and other bioactive substances to versatile improve himself (which provoked both enthusiasm and criticism). Some of the substances used by Fage could raise questions among regulators of different levels from different countries.

Sergei Fage wrote that he was engaged in "biohacking of the body and mind using logic and a scientific approach," for which he "optimized sleep, nutrition and training, went through thousands of tests, took dozens of different drugs and hundreds of supplements... and spent about $200 thousand on all this[1]

2022: Release from house arrest

On May 5, 2022, it became known that Sergei Fage was released. He spent eight months under arrest.

At the airport, during a customs inspection, he was found with an "Adderol capsule prescribed by a doctor from the United States" and paper impregnated with LSD.

I was surprised to find that the capsule says "amphetamine salts." As soon as I became associated with this phrase, they began to dig into my things. And there were five half-forgotten cans of acid.

After Fage spent seven months under house arrest in Moscow. At this time, he held a fundraiser for the launch of a new startup - "a cool organization of a new type for revolutionary achievements in the field of human health."
