Biography

Was born on May 8, 1961 in Kamensk-Uralsky, Sverdlovsk region.

Education

1983: UEMIIT

In 1983 with honors graduated from the Ural electromechanical institute of engineers of railway transport (since 1994 - the Ural State University of Railway Transport) in "Electrification of railway transport".

1989: Candidate of Technical Sciences

On March 10, 1989 dissertation council at the Moscow institute of engineers of railway transport of F.E. Dzerzhinsky (since 2019 - the Russian university of transport (RUT (MIIT)) the academic degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences is awarded.

2003: Doctor of Engineering

In 2003 the solution of the Highest certifying commission of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation awards an academic degree of the Doctor of Engineering.

Career

1989: URGUPS

Since 1989 works in URGUPS: the senior research associate, the associate professor, the head of the department "Power supply of transport" till 2007.

2008: Rector

On February 7, 2008 it is elected to a position of the rector of the university.

Awards

For a research of an automatic design system of contact network the automated workplace KS and KST-URGUPS is awarded with a rank "Winner of All-Russia Exhibition Centre".

In 2002 the best inventor of railway transport according to the decision of Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation (in 2004 the ministry was abolished).
