2024: Death after plastic surgery

On February 27, 2024, it became known that the famous Moscow producer and businessman Pyotr Gavrilov died after plastic surgery at the clinic of star surgeon Timur Khaidarov. The man underwent a gastric resection procedure, that is, partial removal of the organ.

According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, the bariatric operation was carried out on February 17, 2024. Three days later, Gavrilov became ill: he complained of pain in the chest and abdomen, heaviness when breathing. The man had to call an ambulance, but after examining the doctors, the patient refused hospitalization. After some time, the pain intensified, after which Gavrilov fell into a coma, and then died.

Telegram channel Mash notes that the cause of death of a man could be blood infection after gastric resection. Gavrilov's relatives claim that he was infected during the operation - they intend to sue to bring the perpetrators to justice. At the same time, lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky told REN TV that Khaidarov himself did not operate on Gavrilov and had nothing to do with his death.

The operation was carried out by another surgeon, not Timur. In addition, after the operation performed in the clinic of Dr. Khaidarov, the patient went to another clinic, in which he also had an operation, says Dobrovinsky.

The IQ Plastique clinic, where Haidarov works as a plastic surgeon, also denies his involvement in the incident. The medical center told Izvestia that Khaidarov does not perform bariatric operations and did not operate on Gavrilov. The clinic also stressed that from the moment of its opening to the end of February 2024, not a single patient died in it. It is also said that on the fact of the death of Peter Gavrilov, Roszdravnadzor finds out the reasons for the incident.^[1]
