2025: Appointment as CEO of Yuzhuralzolot
Semyon Grinko became the new president of the Yuzhuralzoloto management company after the nationalization of the holding, previously owned by billionaire Konstantin Strukov. The corresponding changes were made to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on August 7, 2025, which means the end of the reboot of the management of the gold mining company. The appointment took place after the removal from office of the previous head by a court decision at the suit of the General Prosecutor's Office. This became known on August 8, 2025.
Since July 16, 2025, the duties of the president were temporarily performed by Larisa Ivleva, who has been working in the structures of the UGK since 1993. Her appointment took place after the Sovetsky District Court of Chelyabinsk removed the former head of the company, Konstantin Strukov, at the request of the General Prosecutor's Office.
Detailed information about the new leader Semyon Grinko in open sources is practically absent. According to the business publication "Globe: Geology and Business," in 2016 a specialist with this name worked in the gold mining company "Highest" as an enrichment agent.
UGK and GV Gold did not provide official comments regarding the appointment of a new leader. Representatives of both organizations refrained from public statements about personnel changes in the management company.
Personnel changes in Yuzhuralzoloto are associated with the nationalization of the holding and the complete change of leadership after the court decision. The process of removing the previous management began on July 14, 2025 at the initiative of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia.
The court decided to confiscate the shares of Konstantin Strukov and his entourage in the group of companies in state revenue. The decision was based on the materials of the General Prosecutor's Office on the illegal actions of a businessman when gaining control over assets.[1]
