2001: Creation of the Pioneer group

Andrey Grudin founded Pioner group in 2001. Since the same moment he became the CEO of firm. The group builds the multifunction real estate and residential quarters in expensive districts of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

2020: Andrey Grudin's death

On June 27, 2020 Andrey Grudin died. The death of the founder, co-owner and CEO of Pioner construction company it is announced on the website of group.

The staff of the company expresses the deepest condolences to the family of Andrey Grudin. It is huge loss for all of us! He was an outstanding businessman, the reliable partner, an example for employees and heart of Pioner Group, says group of companies.

As the source in law enforcement agencies told TASS, Andrey Grudin was found dead at office, the suicide note and a gun was near.

The source of RIA Novosti  told that Grudin's depression was announced by his wife. According to the source Komsomolskaya Pravda, the spouse of the businessman  claims that he was in a depression the last several months and thought of a suicide.

The source of Komsomolskaya Pravda in police added that the version about suicide is the main, however also others are considered. A lot of things will be clear after forensic medical examinations, the interlocutor specified.

Interfax with reference to a source reported that in the suicide note was told about a high debt load. The group had no overdue accounts payable, RBC notes. In the Pioneer group said that death of the CEO is not business-related the companies:

Contrary to different versions about causes of death of Andrey Grudin, widespread in a number of media, we report that death is not connected with activity of the company and the more so with its financial status.[1]

It was reported later that Andrey Grudin committed suicide because of a high debt load and considered that his death will help business.

At the Breast company were long in MKB, Sberbank and Opening. At once two agreements on attraction of borrowed funds between Pioner Group and MKB were signed on June 26, 2020. According to their conditions, the developer borrowed bank of 5.2 billion rubles.

One of loans – for five years and 3 billion rubles – was taken for refinancing of the credit which is earlier taken in Sberbank. In the second case the developer acted as the guarantor on other credit (on 2.2 billion rubles) which was issued on its child structure.
