2017: Appointment as head of Citrix
On July 10, 2017, the American IT company Citrix announced the appointment of David Henshell as the new president and CEO instead of the native of Russia Kirill Donbass, who was headed since January 2016.
What caused Tatyana's resignation is not specified. Citrix only says that the top manager and the board of directors of the company made a mutual decision.
Before joining the position of head of Citrix, David Henshell was the company's financial and operational director. As general director, he will receive an annual salary of $1 million, in the future this amount will be revised. In addition, Henshell relies on a grant to receive limited circulation shares in the amount of $2.5 million. Starting in 2018, the new CEO will be eligible for annual rewards of $8 million tied to the company's tasks.
Under the leadership of Kirill Donbass, the value of Citrix shares almost doubled - from 39 to 80 dollars. On July 10, 2017, when the change of management was announced, the company's securities fell by almost 4% to $77.
As for Henshell, Citrix Executive Chairman Robert Calderoni describes him as "a proven leader who knows the company from the inside and outside." Calderoni also thanked Tatarinov for the work done and noted that he helped Citrix prepare for a new stage of corporate transformation.
Senior Vice President of Finance Mark Coyle will temporarily serve as Citrix's chief financial officer until a new executive is found on a permanent basis to replace Henshell.
At the same time as the personnel changes at the highest level, Citrix announced the creation of the Operations and Capital Committee, which will advise management and the board of directors on "opportunities to increase margins and return capital to shareholders." Henshell and Calderoni joined this committee along with two other directors.[1]
